Slip and Plate Rolls
Slip and plate rolling machines are used to form flat steel plates and steel sheets into cylindrical and cone shapes. Metal Fabrication and Forming applications that use slip and plate rolls are pressure vessels, white goods, sea-going ships and vessels, wind turbines, armaments, aerospace, locomotives, and automotive.
There are many plate rolls and slip rolls available in the market, each designed to perform a particular task or have a specific capacity. Typical offerings include 2 roll, 3 roll, and 4 roll machines and they are defined by the “Pinching” method they use; the most common is an Initial Pinch machine. There are also Double Pinc and Variable Pinch machines available.

The rolling process is typically initiated with a foot pedal, but full CNC controls are also available. Three roll sheet and plate bending machines are used for a wide variety of fabrication applications such as chemical stillages, vessels, boilers, shipbuilding, structural, petroleum and a variety of manufacturing industries.
Four roll plate bending machines modify flat sheet metal and plates and create cones and tubes as well as an assortment of other forms. When outfitted with CNC controllers for the operator can achieve variable radii and intricate shapes and elliptical and polycentric forms, and polycentric work. Four Roll Plate Rolls and Slip Rolls can roll tubes, ovals, as well as rounded boxes.
