UK Distributor

Manual presses from RHTC are a fundamental machine in the manufacturing industry. You’ll find them in nearly every work plant. This is because of their versatility, durability and reliability. Additionally, a manual workshop press offers the workman many benefits and efficiencies with helping to get the job done in an accurate and professional manner. As a leading manual workshop press distributor in the UK, we wanted to share a few benefits with you.

What Is A Manual Press Machine?

A manual press machine is a piece of equipment featuring a vertically fitted hydraulic cylinder that is attached to a hydraulic pump system.

The hydraulic system is full of hydraulic oil. The hydraulic cylinder has an internal piston upon which the compressed hydraulic oil exerts pressure. The compression of the oil is carried out by the hydraulic pump system. The operator drives the pump manually with their hand or foot. The pressure created travels through the enclosed pump system to the cylinder. In the cylinder, the compressed energy is discharged causing the internal hammer to deliver a powerful impact upon the workpiece.

The metal forming industry often uses manual presses for stamping and marking. Additionally, you can use presses for many other manufacturing applications including: riveting, staking, forming, punching, bending, crimping, piercing, assembling, broaching, and coining to name a few.

Benefits Of Manual Presses

Simple And Effective Design

We’ve all heard the phrase, ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’. And it couldn’t be more true than when talking about RHTC manual workshop presses. Their simple design hasn’t changed much over the years but that’s what makes them great. In turn they are easy to operate and the costs to maintain it are minimal.

Low Maintenance Costs

They have a simplistic design, so a manual press doesn’t have many moving parts. Therefore, fewer things can go wrong. However, should you need to, parts for manual presses are generally inexpensive, easy to come by, and straightforward to fix.

Excellent Control

At Workshop Press our machines have the ability for multi-action operation. As a result, you will have better control for reduced risk of damage to the machine or tools. Furthermore, you can control the pressure of the press to suit the application. You can adjust the ram force, pressure release, the direction and the speed accordingly depending on the job.

Smooth And Accurate Pressing

A workshop press delivers a smooth, even pressure throughout the ram stroke. This allows accurate tonnages to be achieved at any point of the ram travel.

Extremely Versatile

Manual presses are extremely versatile, which is why so many industries use them.
